Ashtanga Yoga -- Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a vigorous style of yoga that emphasizes the power of the breath called Ujjayi Pranayama. This form of controlled breathing is done in conjunction with a subtle energy lock, known as bandhas.
This style of Yoga practice consists of a set sequence of postures, flowing in a precise and ceaseless movement (vinyasa) from start to finish. To maintain stability and flow, a complete awareness is required, along with continuous ujjayi breath from the start of the practice through to the end. A total and absolute concentration develops over time, leading gradually to a heightened sense of awareness and deeper connection to, and understanding of, life, oneself, and others. | Temperature: HOT -
Beginner’s Yoga -- A slow paced class, designed to introduce the basic elements of yoga. Perfect for men and women ready to try yoga for the first time, also excellent for rehabilitation, seniors and people with sports injuries. Temperature: WARM | Go to Beginner Schedule
-
Candlelit Yoga -- A moderately paced class combining fun and easy yoga flow styles with relaxing music. Decompress for the week and weekend and be relaxed and happy. | Temperature: WARM

You will gently stretch your body in all directions and practice poses to strengthen the body. | Temperature: WARM / May be Air Conditioned
-

Jivamukti appeals to those who want a good workout and more, since a healthy dose of chanting and philosophizing accompanies each class. | Temperature: WARM
-
Kundalini -- Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic, creative and energizing form of yoga. It is especially suited to the needs of busy people who want to stay calm, bright, and centered in a high-energy world. Pilates teaches awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and strengthens the core postural muscles . Perfect for rehabilitation, training, and an excellent aid to all other forms of exercise. | Temperature: WARM
-
Power Yoga -- A fast paced class, combining power yoga flow with a high intensity movement and music. Perfect for men and women seeking a challenging and invigorating workout, excellent cross training for strength, endurance and flexibility. Temperature: HOT
-

MEET IAN DARRAH, E-RYT
I am so excited to lead the South Miami 200-hour Professional Yoga Teacher Training Programs at Green Monkey. Going through a teacher training program is not only a challenge and life-enhancing it can be life-changing and lot of fun!
After nearly a decade of working with individuals and groups as a fitness trainer and coach and walking a determined yogic/ shamanic spiritual path, my personal decision to enter Green Monkey’s TTC (Teacher Training Course) was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The original intention was simply to improve my own yoga & spiritual practice. Little did I know it would lead to life transformation on many levels (mind – body – spirit), greatly enhance my professional career in fitness and launch a new one as a yoga teacher.
Yoga is vast and the teachers and styles are many. Because of this, there is so much opportunity for people to find tremendous benefit from taking a comprehensive Teacher Training. Whatever your objective: teaching great classes, improving your own practice, growing spiritually, making a complete transformation into greatly enhanced wellness etc., this program will give you the tools and proper guidance to grow and develop in the way that suits you best (and in ways you never before imagined).
Namaste,
Ian
